Flying-Cam does Potter
Here's a shot from one of the location shoots on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, for which aerial filming specialist Flying-Cam provided its technology for many of the stunning aerial sequences in the film. For the first time, Flying-Cam took off wearing some of the most recent technology that the industry has to offer, in the shape of the cooke S4 primes - 14mm and 18mm - which helped to accentuate the beauty and majesty of the shots delivered by the Flying-Cam team.
The rugged terrain, monumental rocks, and Hagrid's House, all came within the reach of Flying-Cam's potential. The Flying-Cam was used to fly thought the monumental rocks, starting from above and soaring to Hagrid's House. To allow a perfect vantage point on the site, the pilot was positioned on a tower anchor on the edge of the high cliff. The passage between the stones was only 10ft wide. The Flying-Cam was also used later for compositing with CG images. Flying-Cam has also provided its services on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and has been in Scotland on the next installment Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. |
