The NASA AMES Research Centre DART Team (Disaster Assistance Rescue Team), selected Flying-Cam to participate in a Collapse Structure Workshop in the Moffett Field on May 3-7, 2004.
Flying-Cam brought its technology to demonstrate site assessment.
The day started with a disaster assistance after simulation of a terrorist explosion in a building. After the Commander has established a list of all assets, Flying-Cam was first requested on the field before any human being could approach the area.
We provided wide and as close up images that only Flying-Cam could provide. The footage was immediately digitalized and available to the crisis management control room.
We received strong feed back on the quality of the pictures and their utility in connection with the mission.
